Filed under: Best Kept Secrets - Bali
Everything about this shop screams posh from the moment you hop out of the taxi. This store is four floors of fabric and each floor you go up, the more expensive it becomes. Not to mention the gold gilted, mirrored lift that takes you between the floors.
There is so many staff, one to take the roll of fabric from the shelf, another to unroll it, another to measure it, another to cut it, another to run it down to the cashier, another to write the docket, another to wrap it etc etc – I think you know what I am getting at.
A friend of mine put me onto this store and yes, I had funny purchasing some beautiful fabrics from here. My only lack of judgement was using their tailoring services instead of my usual tailor and I must admit, the clothing has not lasted that they made – I just don’t think their tailoring is of the same quality as Mia Tailors.
Anyway, it was one of those mind blowing shopping experiences and certainly not one I expected to experience in Bali. If anything, visit this store just to check it out. The fabric prices aren’t too bad and the fabric is of exceptional quality and there is so much choice. Make sure you go to the top floor where the most expensive fabrics are sold – it is so worth it – the carpet is plush, there is boutique seating, which looks like it came out of a 1920′s movie and chandeliers, as well as Fashion TV being broadcast on huge screens. Ah yes, for the boys, they do have their own floor - very masculine!

Thanks
